The Jamaica Debates Commission is pleased to advise that the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) has confirmed that Jamaicans in theUnited States of Americacan join residents in Jamaica and the Caribbean in watching the three political debates starting tonight August 8, 2007.  CMC says viewers can see the debates on Direct TV channel 2181.

In addition, the Jamaica Debates Commission has authorized CMC to air the debates on its 19Caribbeanchannels on the Caribvision channel.

Significant interest has also been shown in the debates, with Mystik 1400AM a radio station inFt. Lauderdale,Floridaalso confirming that they will air the three debates.

InJamaica, the debates which begin at 9.00PM are slated to be broadcast live on RJR 94FM, Hot 102 FM, Power 106 FM and Nationwide Radio.  They will also be telecast on CVM Television and TVJ.

The debates are expected to reach its widest global audience with CVM and TVJ’s global IP channels via JUMP TV, also carrying the debates.  The debates are also being streamed on the Commission’s website at www.jamaicadebatescommission.com.
